They tell me to appreciate

These days before they’re gone,

I can’t appreciate regurgitate

Even of my angel son.

We’re meant to not complain,

Stay restrained, each and every one

Go to Stay & Play , where I Sit & Pray I’m

Not the only lonely one.

A house is to be lived in not died in

(Same four walls,

Once white halls

Grubby all)

And out I go all smiles, just hiding

That I’ve no one to confide in

‘Cos we’re all meant to be smiling

On and on the days keep grinding

and I’m waiting for the fall.

And how can I say that every day

I’m wiping up the same same mess

The laundry’s piled, and every child

Is refusing to get dressed

This Groundhog Day of Stay & Play

The putting on the tiny shoes, getting sweaty,

Frazzled

Sweary

All so we can try our best.

And how can I say that every day

I’m wiping up the same same mess

Always behind, and every child

Wipes bogies on my last clean dress

This Groundhog Day of work & play

The keepy-up of every ball. Getting

stressy,

Failing

Crazy

All so we can be our best.

Instamum and Pintermum

I don’t belong

My chairs are wrong

Stay at home or play at home or

Work at home or not at home

We’re always wrong

let’s change the song

Because this I know- that WE ARE STRONG
